(after reading this post in the french forum : http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/961004

)

I'm not a smoker, and was wondering what was the state of the new e-cigs in regards to the no-smoking laws in QC.

Are E-Cigarettes allowed in restaurants in the province?

      Here's what the MSSS has to say:

        I have seen people use them in the metro. I think they are in a grey area legally for now.

          Ive seen people use them in the library.. it is very distracting because some have a sweet smelling visible vapor. If i was in a bar or restaurant I wouldnt care though.

            I would probably be annoyed at a bar or restaurant. I don't think I would enjoy the smell of synthetic fruit during a meal.
