Coming back to Vegas. Anything new, not too pricey, that I shouldn't miss?

I was in Vegas just after Labor Day weekend for work and now I'm heading back for work again.

This time I will be staying at the Hilton Grand Vacations by the Flamingo and going to a conference in the conference center by the Palazzo. I won't have a car and can't do a lot of taxi spending. My one taxi night will probably be a trip to Raku.

I have three other nights to plan for. My problem is that I can't spend more than $50 for dinner (including tax and tip). Last trip I had dinner at DOCG, Comme Ca, and Charlie Palmer cut of the week.

I'm drawing a total blank this time around. As of now I have a reservation at China Poblano. I also made reservations at DOCG and Charlie Palmer since I couldn't think of anything else. I like all sorts of food. I probably won't go to Lotus of Siam since I will use my cab option for Raku.

Any ideas for me? Anything new and exciting?

  1. I think you mean Charlie "Palmer" (not "Trotter").

    1. Call me crazy, but I really enjoyed Buddy V's. Michael Mina's American Fish would also fit the bill, esp if you went at Happy Hour prices.

      1. If you are going to Raku, you might as well go to Sweets Raku in the same strip mall.

I definitely want to go there. Last time it had just opened but my reservation at Raku was too late for me to go there. Do you need a reservation for Sweets Raku?

Sweets Raku does not take reservations. I've never had a problem getting in, although we tend to go 6-9pm. Went last night after Kabuto around 7:30pm. Try the new dessert: red rock & we love the cheese plate.
