  • 9

I am on a hunt for the best braised short ribs in the Philadelphia area. Does anyone have any super recommendations?

  1. The ones on the duck fat fries at Village Whiskey are pretty good. I don't know if they serve them as an entree. Normally, I only see these as periodic specials on menus.

    1. The Stone Rose in Conshohocken should surely be a contender.

      1. I had a *really* nice dish at Matyson recently with seared scallops served on top of a fantastic braised short rib.

Probably the best dish of the night. Though the tartare is a good contender.

        1. Sketch sometimes has a special braised short rib sandwich that is very good!

          1. The Fountain is offering this as part of their Restaurant Week menu. For only $35, I'd be interested in trying it.

            ROASTED BEEF SHORTRIB
AROMATIC MUSHROOM DUXELLES AND ARBORIO RICE CROQUETTE CELERIAC PURÉE, BURGUNDY TRUFFLE AND MERLOT SALMIS

            2. Village Whiskey has duck fat french fries with braised short ribs and cheese sauce that will make you weak at the knees. great selection of pickled veggies and burgers too.

              1. They have braised short rib fries on the menu at Ippolitos! (And they have added seating)
