Anyone been? How is it? It appears to be a national chain. They got a shout out on serious eats recently.
It's an international chain, of Korean(?) origin. I stop by their Flushing branch from time to time, and I think it's pretty good. The pastry selection is quite different from what you can get in other chains.
They recently opened a branch near my work at 52nd and Lex. They have their own version of cronuts and carry 'exotic' stuff like canele. Their birthday cakes are really good and I am a fan of their pastries..but I am Korean so I am already used to the stuff they sell.
I'm still waiting for a Donq (Japanese) bakery and their "corn bread"...unfortunately, hallyu has yet to ebb.
Had the creamy Brie cheesecake last night. Was really surprised that Paris Baguette could turn out something so unique and delicate. It's a fine place, but I'm never expecting to be wowed there. This cake was really something different, though. It's soft, runny, and buttery with a pillowy rind like you'd find on a wheel of Brie, nothing like a usual cheesecake.
