We have a 2 pm concert at the Kimmel and a reservation for dinner at Russet at 5:30. We believe the concert will end more like 4:30-5.
Does Russet have a bar or is it a BYO? If they do have a bar, might it be open before 5:30 dinner
If not, is there a place for drinks at a bar nearby?
Thanks for any help.

  1. Russett is byob. Two places that come to mind are Jose Pistolas and Monks. Both are on 15th street.

The one other place you might check out is in the Kimmel. Jose Garces is running the bar/restaurant there. You might be able to grab a drink there.

    1. Thanks CW I didn't realize that the restaurant was finally opened.
What is the name of the restaurant?

Garces' restaurant in the Kimmel will be Volver. However, when I walked by last Wednesday, it hadn't opened yet (though it looked close). The last word I read from from Michael Klein was "January."

          Thanks Cruz.
Well that leaves THAT idea out!
I guess we could always go to Estia's bar for drinks first but it's like going backwards to go forward.

Frankly I would walk to the lobby bar at the Ritz Carlton. I think you could easily have 1 drink there and not have felt you have walked too far.

                Ritz C sounds doable.
                Thanks
