Another two nights in Asheville

ksbee Jan 22, 2014 10:13 AM

You fellow 'hounders really helped for our October visit - we ended up at Seven Sows and liked that very much. This trip I am planning to do the Admiral, and have one other night. From recs on this board, am trying to decide between Chestnut, the Market Place, and Rhubarb. This will be our anniversary dinner, so no holds barred! Please let me know what you think of these three, or if there are any others that I should consider. Thanks in advance.

I've not been blown away by Chestnut. Have never been to MP. So of those three I'd pick Rhubarb. Have you looked at Curate, Zambra, Fig or Limones?

I think we'll do Fig for lunch, as we'll be in Biltmore Village during one of the days. For some reason, I can not get hubby interested in Curate's menu, so I don't think that will work. Limones looks good - thanks for the suggestion!

Check out The Junction's menu, as well

That looks interesting - is that in the old train station depot in Biltmore Village?
What are thoughts on Bull and Beggar?

The Junction is located in the River Arts District alongside a string of studios (and Pizza Pura). Bull & Beggar is also located in the River Arts District. It's pretty great too, started by the owner of the Admiral & the former co-chef at Table in downtown Asheville. I think they have a website now, too...

Thanks! RAD looks fun - will have to check out some of the studios. Have not been to that part of Asheville.

For an Anniversary dinner I might would shot for the Red Stag inside the Bohemian. Quiet and Romantic. They also have a spa in the hotel.
