Thanks Atlanta! (College Park area)
Just got back from a business trip. Had a great time...thanks for the hospitality!
Stayed in College Park so most of the places I tried were there.
Joffreys...odd little coffee shop. The coffee was fine...the pastries seemed to be heated up from the freezer, not freshly made. They also have a wine bar and a hooka area...just an odd combo.
Bole Ethiopian - food was good...chicken was delcious! Enjoyed the lentil and chickpea dishes. Some of the spicy stuff was too hot for my liking. Coffee was good. Service VERY slow. I'd go back.
Grecian Gyro - really like this spot for lunch. Parking is tough. They do a very brisk business and there just aren't enough spots. But the food is worth it. Wish I had gone more than once.
Malones - this place was better than I expected. Not amazing, but perfectly fine food with friendly service. There were almost 20 of us and everyone enjoyed their meal. Filet was very tender. Mashed sweet potatoes were good. And they make their own desserts...key lime pie was good.
Spondivits - fun little bar place with crab legs and oysters. Very lively, very crowded.
Vortex - be advised smoking is allowed and it's an 18+ crowd only. Wasn't a fan of the smoke, but it was a fun joint. Colorful menu (language wise) so don't bring prudish people. The burgers were good...not amazing, but good and creative.
Auburn Market - what a great place! My purpose was pralines at Mrs. D's. But lots of nice options in there.
