Where to buy Puerto Rican sweet potatoes

eimac Jan 20, 2014 08:31 PM

On a visit to a relative in San Juan we bought sweet potatoes at a market in San Juan. They
were rounder than the sweet potatoes I get here, the flesh was lighter and they held their shape while getting tender when she roasted them. Is there a market in the Orlando area that sells these?

    Try any Spanish market
    Boniato is the Spanish word.
Most of the islands in the Caribbean have a similar type

You might try one of the Bravo supermarkets. They have a big selection of latino produce.
