Food in Orlando

rowead Jan 20, 2014 09:33 AM

I will be traveling to Orlando twice in March. Once I will be staying at the Marriot World Resort for a conference. The next I will be at the Hilton in downtown Orlando....again for a conference. Suggestions for food in the area??

Just got back from a conference...at the Marriott World Resort...do some searching here...there's some very good threads on Orlando restaurants.

I posted some links as well to some articles, lists, etc.

Check out all the other threads...you'll find plenty. Good luck and enjoy.

Is anything within walking distance or will I need to get a cab to get to anywhere?

Walking distance...from the Marriott? No, you can't walk anywhere from that Marriott. Hawk's Landing is the steakhouse right there in the hotel and of course you can walk there, but IMO, I'd rather take a cab and go to one of the better steakhouses in Orlando.

You can't walk to any restaurants from that Marriott. There's a nice, reasonably priced farm-to-table Italian in the hotel called Siro. That's a good choice. Otherwise, you'll need to take a taxi to Downtown Disney, a Disney hotel (Sanaa, Jiko, Boma & Flying Fish are all good choices), or Sand Lake Road, which has many restaurants.

The Rusty Spoon Downtown is a good solid choice.
