I relocated here from San Antonio, Texas and I'm dying for papas rancheras tacos.... Is there a place in LA that has them???

  1. I don't know how regional papas rancheras are, but Homestate appears to serve various Texan foods. They aren't on the menu, but you could ask if they will make it special.

Other than that could you describe papas rancheras? Ingredients? How they are cooked (soft like boiled potatoes, crispy like home fries etc) and what particularly you like about them?

Even if the real thing doesn't exist out here, someone might be able to find a similar dish.

You pan fry the potatoes and it also has onions and Chiles fried in it- not sure on the other ingredients

      1. I know of a couple places in the Highland Park area that serve tacos de papas but they may not be the same style that you're looking for.
