Lunch Meeting East Village

Hoping for ideas for a weekday lunch meeting of 3 people not too far from 1 St. and 2 Ave.
our guest, in his 20's or so. lllllentrer may be vegan.
We are flexible on all counts. I was asked to find something decent, not crazy, when it comes to price. About $20 or so per entree should be fine. We are all casual.
All suggestions are appreciated

  1. Sorry for mistyping in original post. I couldn't see full message to edit.

    1. Quantum Leap is West of where you will be , but its good for vegans. Palo is another place good for that. Souen also.
Sorry can't think of anything right by your location, although Palo is just a few blocks away and gluten free too.

Thank you, foodwhisperer, for the reminder of Quantum Leap. I enjoyed eating in their Queens location long ago. We may may need to stay a little closer this time.

Is Souen a pleasant environment? And I haven't seen a listing for Palo. Where is that?
        Thanks!

              Souen is a pleasant atmosphere.

      2. Westville east (ave a and 11th) has a good selection of vegan options

Organic grill on 1st ave b/w 7th and 8th is also nearby:

Last time i liked the wakame soup, and the house made breads are good. The broiled tofu with sesame paste was good, the macro plate was blah- no seasonings, very "granola hippie food".
Skip dessert there- nearby peacefoods cafe has great vegan baked goods if you want to get a cookie/brownie/etc

          2. Sorry again for careless typing. Again I had the font so large that I couldn't see it all.
