NYC Valentine's Weekend
Coming to NYC with my boyfriend for Valentine's / President's weekend and need help please! Staying in midtown east and looking for two dinner recommendations for Saturday and Sunday nights. Price not an issue.
We eat all different cuisines....some of our favorite places are La Grenouille, Monkey Bar, Babbo, Minetta Tavern, Knickerbocker.
We are arriving late on Friday night--- any recommendations on late night spots downtown? Was thinking Spotted Pig or Blue Ribbon.
Any classic NYC bars we should hit?
Also any food tours recommendations? Looking for fun things during the day as well. We've been to Zabars, Eately, Chelsea Market.
Thanks so much!
Sounds you hit up a lot of classic NY places already, including some of my favorites! How about Keens one night?
Unfortunately the historic Grand Central Oyster Bar is currently closed for renovations, with an anticipated re-opening date of March.

You may also want to look into the bar at The Lamb's Club. Drink list is by Sasha Petraske. Very expensive though, and the food has mixed reviews. The hotel it's in is new, but looks retro.
Unfortunately, a lot of the classic / old NY / retro cocktail bars do not maintain a high level of quality.

If you like self guided good tours, you could do a LES food crawl. I highly recommend RGR's self guided Lower East Side Gustatory tour but sub in Pickle Guys for Guss' Pickles and note that Economy Candy's address is incorrect:
Note: It’s best not to take this tour on a Saturday since some of the spots are closed because of religious observance.
If you like the idea of RGR's self-guided LES tour above, check these out, too.
