Serious foodie Atlanta Restaurant recommendations

Surprise last minute trip to Atlanta. First time.
Staying at the W Hotel, would love outstanding restaurant ideas.
Quality and authentic cuisine is key, not the price. French, Sushi or American. Thank you!

  1. A few suggestions....

For sushi, Tomo or Umi, both of which are within a mile of the W.

For American, Bacchanalia or Restaurant Eugene on the high end; King + Duke, Empire State South, Abattoire or KR Steakbar less fancy; Holeman and Finch or General Muir a bit more casual still. All of these are excellent.

In my view, not a great spot for French, but I love the Croque Monsieur (called the Crunchy Gentleman) at Holeman and Finch -- Have them add an egg....
