Hi,

Are there any great buffets in Tucson that serve American fare and cater to families?
 Prefer Northwest/Oro Valley area.
 Thanks

Most of the resorts in town run excellent Sunday Brunch buffets, though some may be too pricey for family dining, depending, I suppose, on the size of the family.

Tucson has a score or so of the typical steam-table buffets, both Chinese and Mexican. The most locally famous of the lot is Gordo's Mexicateria, noted for large helpings of all-you-can-eat mexican. Not recommended as haute cuisine, certainly, but is fun, and will feed the family.

For buffets, you just can't beat the Sunday buffet at Hacienda del Sol, in the Catalina Foothills section of town. The views also are spectacular.
