The ambiance is that of a small, family-owned trattoria in Italy, full bar, warm and pleasant service. The gnocchi are wonderful, eggplant melanzina excellent and the osso bucco is melt-in-your-mouth (when they haven't run out of it). Entrees are less than $20. It's a terrific little restaurant with friendly service and excellent food. And, yes, the osso bucco is really good. So is the spaghetti and meatballs, a usually pedestrian dish that we would never have ordered if it hadn't come so highly recommended by a regular. Arrivederci is always on our list of restaurants to visit when we come out to Phoenix. The food was average at best. I had the osso bucco and it was fair. They also had switched from veal to pork! I gave it a try but suggested to the waiter that I rather have the veal.
