We're headed to LV were we met for our tenth anniversary. About 20 friends are joining us. Before they arrive we're having dinner at Fleur De Ly were we celebrated or 5th here in SF.

We'd like to have a celebration dinner at a Asisan Restaurant, my partner is (vegetarian) so Asisan will have the most options. Can you recommend any inexpensive to moderate Asian resturants?

Plus any other good eats that a vegetarian would be satisfied at.

Plus favorite buffets.

Haven't been there in awhile.

Thanks!

If you will consider Thai, there's no better place than Lotus of Siam. Search the board for that name as well as LOS, and you'll find more posts than you want. Good wine list, too, esp. the whites.

Ping Pang Pong at the Gold Coast is a great Asian option. Open 'til 3am my husband and I often hit it after a night on The Strip.

If you want somewhere more "fancy" you might like Little Buddah at The Palms. It's a hip/cool asian restaurant, the complete oppostite end of the spectrum from Ping Pang Pong. Little Buddah also offers sushi.

LOS is a must is thai qualifies on your list. Ask to talk to the owner (I think his name is Bill but I can't remember) and he will guide you through the menu and make some great suggestions.

As far as buffets go. I am a huge fan of Aladdin. Others on this board rave about Bellagio which I personally do not care for (I think it's overpriced and over rated).
Paris is on my list to try for breakfast (I hear they have great crepes.)

Your party would be for 22 people? If so, I'm afraid Lotus of Siam is unlikely to be right for you, at least if you all want to sit together. I'm not sure what Asian restaurant would be equipped. There are plenty of worthy Chinese restaurants with big round tables, but they only hold approximately 10 or so per table.

About ten years ago, the CompuServe Travel forum did a dinner for 50 at a place on Spring Mountain Rd. that has a view of the Strip. However, at this moment the name escapes me. The meal was excellent and the service quite good.

Dave - maybe you know the name of the place ...

Hmmm, this is a little mysterious. If a restaurant on Spring Mountain had a view of the strip, wouldn't it have to be up many levels? Offhand, I can't think of any places above the second floor.

Give this place a call. Excellent food and service. We went there 3 times during our visit to LV.
Couple of times I saw groups of 15+ being served.
