Best Inexpensive Steak Dinner In Las Vegas..

Could very well be found at Ellis Island Casino on Koval, a couple blocks east of the southern section of The Strip. I had what appeared to be an 8-10 ounce choice grade sirloin, perfectly cooked medium rare with choice of potato (baked, mashed, steak fries, hash browns), plus green beans and a large iceberg lettuce salad with tomatoes and carrot sticks. Service was very friendly and efficient and you can get this 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Total cost of this very good steak dinner? $4.95. If you know of a better deal, please share it...

The Las Vegas Advisor, probably the most popular newsletter about Vegas, agrees with you. The Ellis Island steak deal has consistently been #1 in their "Top Ten Values" for the past year.

If you happen to be a subscriber to the Las Vegas Advisor, you can make this deal even more attractive by using a 2 for 1 coupon. Also, slot club members 50 years and older receive a $1 off coupon on Tuesdays and Thursdays plus a coupon for buy $2 in coin, receive $2 in coin free. Excluding tax and tip, Ellis Island paid us 5 cents to eat 2 steak specials.
BTW - all drinks are just $1 24/7 at the main bar.

A couple of years ago a bartender tipped me off to an older casino off the strip called "The Gold Coast". Full prime rib dinner for like $6.95. Also, a generous, excellent jumbo shrimp cocktail for $4.95. Friendly, old fashioned service in a room that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time to the early 1960's.

In July 2006 I had the Las Vegas Club's late night Steak & Eggs special for $3.95, and it was perfect. Better than New York New York's Steakhouse, which I had a few years ago for 10x the price. I'm not sure if it's this good every day though. The special starts at 11pm.
