Celebration Feast for the Diamondbacks

A bunch of us Seattle Mariner fans in the Pacific Northwest have been rooting for the D-backs ever since we lost to the Yankees. What would be a fitting celebration food feast honoring your straight-from-the-heart World Series Champion Phoenix baseball team? Any websites with mail order items from favorite Phoenix spots? We have stir-fry and sushi at our ballpark to honor Ichiro and Sasaki and our large asian community, any regional specialty items at your ballpark?
We want to toast your success!

  1. I can't say I'd know offhand... every time I've been to the Bank One Ballpark I've taken full advantage of their outside food policy; you can bring in anything that fits under your seat. It just so happens that a grocery bag from Trader Joe's will fit under your seat when completely full. I stop by there, pick up some bottled water, fresh fruit, peanut butter filled pretzels, maybe a caesar salad or some roast chicken, and I'm all set. Just remember that the best way to pull this off is to just walk up to the turnstiles and hand over your ticket- it's amazing how much you can get away with when you act like you do it all the time.

I do remember from walking around the ballpark that they have a VERY wide range of food choices- there's a quick-service Garcia's Mexican restaurant in there if you have a taco craving while you're inside. Granted, Garcia's is about as mediocre as it gets for Mexican food, but somehow I doubt that my Phoenix favorite, Los Dos Molinos, would go over very well with the general public. It might dramatically increase the beer sales though...

Okay, so let me get this straight...to celebrate the Diamondback's winning the World Series with three of my friends, I need to go to Trader Joe's, get four grocery sacks full of food, bring them home, place one sack under each guest's dining chair, and invite 'em to chow down? You're on!

Each time I've been there I haven't really seen anything that stands out- then again, I have a general disdain for ballpark food in general. I would say that since BOB is the only ballpark I know of that has a Mexican food restaurant inside, go for some good Sonoran style mexican food- tacos, enchiladas, chimichangas, the works. Of course, in my research I also found out that BOB is the only major league park with a McDonald's inside, so Big Macs are not out of the question either if you can stomach them... ick.

My serious vote is for Mexican food.
However, I think it would be cute to celebrate BOB's incredibly lax BYO policy by stashing dessert in small coolers and sticking them under their chairs while they aren't looking.
