Valentine's Day weekend in Memphis

We are not usually fans of dining out for Valentine's Day but since we'll be visiting Memphis that day we have no choice. We are planning to stay around Beale St (without a car). Looking for restaurants within walking distance or short cab ride. All food and price types welcome!

If it were me, I'd go to Flight and afterward travel next door to Bar Dog Saloon...

I would second Flight. Also would consider Majestic Grille and McEwens. Maybe DeJaVu for something more casual (BYOB).

Reservations will be key. I'm sure that you probably know, but it will be crowded most places.

I was just in Memphis for a conference. I loved McEwen's, which is a southern-infused menu. You can take the trolley there. Or it is maybe 7-10 minute walk from Beale Street.

Other conference attendees enjoyed Flight, where you can order flights of tastes and wine.

Majestic is a very nice room, big space and the menu looked good too - that's also close by.

All of these places are right near the trolley line.
          Have a great time!

What are you in the mood for? Do you want BBQ? Many folks would suggest Gus's for a non-BBQ lunch.

Alas, I mostly got up early and went to the conference which started at 8 am each day...if I went back I would definitely go to Alcenia's, which wasn't far away.

My husband loved Westy's. Their menu is pages long. Get something with wild rice.

Thanks for the recs! We decided to rent a car and go to Graceland for Valentine's Day so since we'll have the car we're going to go to Andrew Michael's for dinner. Then it's off to Majestic Grille on Saturday night and Flight on Sunday.
Now to decide where to eat our other meals!

If you like Andrew Michael and you want to get out of Downtown again then you might want to try Hog & Hominy for lunch on Saturday. It's right across the street.

                Other non BBQ lunch suggestions:

                Soulfish (Midtown & East)
                Fino's (Midtown)
                Gus's (Downtown & East)
                DeJAVU (Downtown)
                Alcenia's (Downtown)
                Bon Ton (Downtown)

Since your meals have already been decided, check out Kwick Check #10 on Madison for a casual lunch on Saturday and get the Bi Bim Bop... you'll be glad you did... Go to Bosco's, Brother Juniper's, Beauty Shop, or Alchemy for Sunday Brunch (unless you want NOLA-esque style buffet, then head to Owen Brennan's).
The sweet potato pancakes from The Arcade will blow your mind and stay with you all day!
