Anniversary dinner after a show

Looking for a knock your socks off anniversary dinner (but not like $$$$ knock your socks off) after a play on 48th and 6th. We love exotic food, hole in the wall surprises, and memorable experiences- not the ideal area for that, so willing to travel. Looking for something under $100pp for food not including drinks, so nothing too fancy. Cheap and delicious is even better.

  1. What day of the week is the play? Is this for a matinee or an evening show? What's the running time?

What date do you plan to have this dinner?

Thursday January 30th, evening, show will be over around 9pm.

    2. Memorable and slightly upscale: Betony, Momofuku Ma Peche

Cheap and delicious: Pure Thai Cookhouse, Ippudo West, Totto Ramen (there are two locations now), Danji, Don Antonio

Great ideas! We went to Betony for my birthday. I will look into the others. Nomad is also a great idea. Thanks

Ma Peche is anniversary worthy, but I can't say the same for ramen. Love Ippudo and Totto but seriously question whether waiting an hour+ for a counter seat then eating in 15 minutes is what I would want to do for an anniversary no matter the price savings. $100 is doable but real tight at Ma Peche. I would suggest Ssam Bar (which I always seem to do) if you want to stay in the Chang empire for something I think is anniversary worthy where $100 will get you further. If you're willing to travel to the LES and you want a place that you can make a reservation at, DBGB would be another nice option.

      2. Get out of the Theater District. I vote for The NoMad (unless too pricey).
