Weekend lunch with 11 month old

Hi all,

I'm a father to an 11 month old son who pretty much is able to eat most things (albeit messily). On weekends, I try to spend some time just he and I, both for father son bonding, but also to give my wife some time alone as I work all week.

We go for little adventures all over the city (the Met, the AMNH, Parks, greenmarkets etc.) and I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions for lunch spots which would be child friendly. I'd like to avoid big chain places if possible, but I'm not sure if many places have child seats that he could use (I tend to strap him up as it's just easier to get around compared to a stroller).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Thanks. Will give it a shot this weekend. We were going to be around the area anyways as I was going to take him to the NYPL so he can see Patience and Fortitude. :)

Are you a Skyline / GTR fan?

If so, can you adopt me?

            Godzilla rules.

    2. I've seen a lot of small kids at maison kayser- they have a few locations now (no seating at bryant park), call to be sure if you want a high chair.

And it may be a "chain" but le pan quotidian definately has high chairs, and they don't mind if you sit and linger a while.

      2. Try Untitled at the Whitney Museum and Landmarc at the Time Warner Center.
