Looking for nut free baking supplies

isabella.g Jan 13, 2014 06:21 PM

Hello, I'm looking for nut free baking supplies. Any idea what companies certify that their flour is nut free? Do you have links to any websites that sell these kinds of products or stores in Montreal?

I see that no one has answered this post yet and I was actually interested in the answer, too! However, if I can veer off a little, I discovered a local chocolate maker and baker who caters to clients with certain food intolerances (baked goods and chocolates made without eggs, sugar, gluten, soy, dairy, etc.):

While this isn't what you were looking for it may interest you and they may very well know where to find what you are looking for. Le petit fourneau is also amazing, too. On Rachel east of Saint-Denis (Rachel and St-Andre)

I would go look in any health food store in town.

I have done that but often these supplies from health food stores come with caveat that they are made in the same facilities where other products containing nuts are also packaged, so they are okay for people with intolerances but if you have an allergy then this can still be troublesome. A google search brought this up:

Besides flour what are you specifically looking for? Many of the national brands have high quality control and I think there are more products available than you might be aware of. Many chocolate bars for example indicate that they are nut free.
