I'm looking for not too spicy, served cold. maybe even sweet tasting, like sesame miso dressing.

Hmm. Don't think so. Not based on OP's description.

You're right, ipse. I missed the part about wanting it cold.

is dan dan mian commonly served cold?

              No.

I guess it was more of a rhetorical question for TP, who actually seems to be looking for cold sesame noodle.

      2. Cold noodles at Sinbala in Arcadia. That would fit your profile.

        1. you're looking for cold sesame noodles. look for it at any Taiwanese deli (Yi Mei, Huge Tree, My Way, Sinbala, and Earthen). some come with chicken, some without.

add a dab of chili if you want it spicy. no miso involved. or, make it at home as it is stupidly simple.

          1. I third Dai Ho, grab some bamboo shoots there while you are at it.

I also quite enjoyed the pre-cursor to Lucky Noodle King.

At places like Lucky Noodle King, Chuan Ma, etc., you can probably ask for the Sichuan liang mian (cold noodle) less spicy.

Agree with above about miso not being involved.

thanks. Maybe Sichuan liang mian (cold noodle) is what I ordered before. How do you pronounce it?
