    Reads like current recipes without spell check, even the steps

        I was able to understand them

        Can't be authentic though, potage is French, just kidding, have fun

          Yep they are in Middle English same as the Canterbury Tales by Chaucer. If your'e interested in medieval cookery , Taste: The Story of Britain Through Its Cookery by Kate Colquhoun is very good.
