Chef for a wine lover's in-home dinner - 5 people

  • 2

I'm 8 months pregnant, and I haven't had more than a sip of wine at Christmas for the same amount of time. My due date is quickly approaching, followed by my birthday 2 weeks later. I have been dreaming for a very long time of my first amazing dinner with a special bottle of Opus 1 my husband and I have been holding on to to celebrate. But, I know I won't want to leave my brand new baby at home for my birthday, so I'd like to hire a personal chef to come to our home and make an amazing dinner for us and three close friends. Any recommendations for someone who can sweep me off my feet with a meal I've been dreaming of for far too long? My google searching hasn't led me to anyone impressive. Thank you!

  1. Just a heads up on that first real glass of wine after. My daughter was 2 months old or so, had a 2 oz pour, and I"m pretty sure it felt like the room was spinning after.

Great plan though, should be a lovely evening in. I hope everything goes better than you planned when your little one arrives

    1. I'm not positive he'd do it, but if price isn't much of an issue, Dan O'Brien from Seasonal Pantry comes to mind. I'd suggest getting in touch with him to see if he'd be game. His food is fantastic, and he seems to travel with his supper club on occasion.
