Chips that taste like falafel

Making hummus for a gathering this evening and randomly picked up these chips to go with it. They really do taste like falafel. I thought it was a good find so I thought I would share.

  1. Very interesting. I'll try to find them for my son who can't seem to go very long without a falafel fix!

eta: I found 10 stores in my area that sells them per the locator on the company site. Who knew :)

    1. Where did you find them? Would love to try.

I just saw them at my Big Lots today. Those in the they taste like the Trader Joe's falafel chips?

        2. We bought the falafel chips at the local specialty market today. Pretty salty but the falafel flavor comes through. They were priced at $13.99 for the bag you have photographed but marked down to $6.99 (which we paid). We were disappointed to open the bag and find a rather small plastic bag inside the paper bag with maybe 30 or so chips inside it.

Nice flavor if you don't mind salty chips, but a high price to pay for a re creation chip.

            Whoah! That's expensive for chips!

          2. I haven't tried those but recently found- and love!!- these falafel flavored baked chickpeas. Really well spiced with a nice kick of black pepper.

We've tried the Saffron Road baked chickpeas but I was a tad concerned about losing a tooth. Tasty though. Wegman's sells them in my area.

            2. In spite of our disappointment (slight) in these falafel chips we did buy the spiced version and the Zatar version by the same brand. Whole Foods carries all three. The first time we found the Falafel chips was at a specialty market charging far more (even on markdown) than WF does.

The Zatar chips are outstanding. Our favorite. The Spicy Falafel version was a bit too spicy (& we like spice).
