Is Pasta Mia in Adams Morgan on the verge of closing?

Remember eating here in the '80s and thinking, "I waited an hour to eat this?" And yet the place was always crowded.

  1. My "foodie" card might get revoked for this (which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing) but I have fond memories of Pasta Mia.

    I thought it was good pasta at affordable prices and we always enjoyed going there (although we did stop going when the wait got too long and our dining budget increased).

    p.s. my memories date from the early 90s, and the article suggests they've been in that building since '91, so I am not sure if things were different in the 80s.

    1. Went here on a date once when I was 24....had a similar feeling. I got the gnocchi and it was swimming in sauce. The upside was I had leftovers for 2 days...for a poor 24 year-old that was the best part of the date.
