I have had takeout twice from D&A and I think it's awesome. The first time I had a Brisket sandwich which is served on a soft bun with coleslaw on top and a side of Mac & Cheese which were both great. Yesterday I had the Burnt Ends platter which was outstanding came with terrific cornbread and got the Mac & Cheese again. Will definitely return to try more items on the menu. It is great to have a BBQ place that actually smokes their food and uses dry rubs.

I got some take out a couple of weeks ago. I've never been in Texas, so I can't tell you whether or not it was up to Texas standard. Saying that, the brisket was very moist and flavorful, not too smokey. However, I would have prefered a little less fat. I got the truffle mac and cheese which was quite good. I didn't taste any truffle oil on it and frankly, I don't think it's needed it all--the mac
and cheese can stand on its own. The coleslaw was a little too vinegary for my taste, maybe it would work better with pulled pork. My husband enjoyed the beans--I didn't try them at all. Their bbq sauce is really nice too--balanced but tangy with just a hint of heat. Lastly, the cornbread was really good-moist, dense, and ever so slightly sweet. It was the way I'd like cornbread to taste, but seldom does. I will be going back soon for some pulled pork.
