Worth a sticky note?

Maybe people wouldn't read a sticky to begin with, but especially on the Topical boards, it would be good to recommend to people that, when starting a topic, they consider whether their location is relevant to their subject/question, and if it is, to include that info in the OP. CH's default orientation is the U.S.A., where regional options/resources can make a difference in the usefulness of responses. That's even more the case when the OP is in the southern hemisphere or there are other major climate differences, and different options/limitations for buying ingredients and equipment.
We're trying to get away from using stickies for things like this, but it is a good practice for people to keep in mind. It's the sort of thing that usually shakes itself out fairly quickly in a thread, but we know not everyone reads the discussion before responding to an original post, so it's also the sort of thing we're happy to edit into an original post at the request of the OP.
