    They obviously didn't taste the Charles Shaw Chardonnay that won a gold medal at the California State Fair a year or so ago. Not that I really think it would have made a difference.

    On the other hand, the last stat I saw was that Trader Joe's sells something North of 15 million cases of this stuff each year. So......... who are we to judge?

      Wasn't it the Orange County Fair?
      Anyways, it still is my nemesis at work and I try to steer those folks towards South America for better quality/value.

        A bit of Googling reveals lots of gold medals at lots of competitions. Hmmmmm.

        That was 2007, and did those bottles really have the same wine in them that Franzia was shipping to TJ's at the time?
