Best burger along the R line?

My son works around 58th St and 1st/2nd Av. in Sunset Park. He called me earlier, saying he's having burger cravings [he's kind of a burgersseur], and asked me to do some research for dinner tonight.

Should we go into the Slope, or Bay Ridge? Where are the bangin' burgers at along the R line?

  1. Don't know Bay Ridge burgers. But in Park Slope, my two favorite burger places are Lot 2 and Double Windsor (closest stop would be Prospect Ave on R line). Lot 2 is closer to the R though.

My only issue with Lot 2 is that they don't have fries but duck fat potato wedges. The wedges are good but they only give you three -- though last time they gave me four -- not sure if it was a one-time thing or they decided to increase portion size.

      Thanks, Miss Needle!

l was just reading about the Brooklyn Beet Co. on 3rd Ave. in Bay Ridge; l think it's a sister restaurant to the Korzo Houses? lt sounds like a pretty strong contender for tonight's dinner; have you been there?

I've been to Korzo and like their burger. I prefer Double Windsor and Lot 2, but Brooklyn Beet Company may win out if it meant less walking in the cold!

Haha...You nailed it with that last part!

    2. Benchmark is on 2nd street, very near the Union Street stop. I haven't had their burger, but every beef dish I've had there has been outstanding.

Has anyone had the burger there?

Thanks, egit. On the list it goes, but l think we're gonna hit the BBC. l think the goulash or chicken schnitzel are in order for me tonight. We've eaten a few ties at Korzo House in the EV, and my son is a fan of their burgers, so it's win all around.
