I'm moving to Roanoke from Los Angeles. I think I am going to miss "The Fish King" in LA.

Is there anything like it in Roanoke?

I think you will miss it too!

Los Angeles is a coastal city with a population of over 3 million, a major international airport, one of the worlds largest ports and a median household income of around $60,000.

Roanoke is a landlocked city of less than 100,000 people with a median household income of about $46,000.

Things will be very different. The Fresh Market (a regional, upscale grocery chain) will probably be your best bet for seafood.

I don't know if they have fish, but if you are new to the area you should check out the natural food co-op.
I live in nearby Lynchburg and we have nothing like it there, so when I am in Roanoke I like to shop there.
