best fish market in Roanoke, VA?

I'm moving to Roanoke from Los Angeles. I think I am going to miss "The Fish King" in LA.

Is there anything like it in Roanoke?

  1. I think you will miss it too!

Los Angeles is a coastal city with a population of over 3 million, a major international airport, one of the worlds largest ports and a median household income of around $60,000.

Roanoke is a landlocked city of less than 100,000 people with a median household income of about $46,000.

Things will be very different. The Fresh Market (a regional, upscale grocery chain) will probably be your best bet for seafood.

    1. I don't know if they have fish, but if you are new to the area you should check out the natural food co-op.
I live in nearby Lynchburg and we have nothing like it there, so when I am in Roanoke I like to shop there.

      1. Anyone else buy fish in Roanoke?

        1. Try All things Healthy in Daleville, VA. not far from Roanoke, He has great fresh seafood as well as other sustainable seafood.
