When I was a kid a family friend would get roasted brisket and gravy from (I think the name was) Akron Meat Processors.
I still dream about it. I can't begin to guess what the seasoning were. Does this ring anyone's bell? Recipe? (We are talking 1960s),
You might want to ask this of Jane Snow, former food editor of the Akron Beacon Journal:
There was an Akron Meat Packing company, but I'm finding very little information about it in the Beacon Journal archives. It was probably one of the many little family meat companies that went by the wayside when supermarkets arrived. You might try contacting one of the survivors, like Pressler's, Kirbie's or Leach's, to see if they may have picked up the recipe at some point.
