Food for Flight from Kona Airport (KOA) Help

Flying out of KOA tomorrow afternoon, and there will be no food on the plane back to LAX. Any suggestions for food to buy for the flight? Something that will keep the few hours between purchase and consumption. Thanks.

    Start with a big lunch!

Since you can't take produce, we did crackers, hard cheese, and trail mix. Slice the cheese before the airport. Nibbles to take the edge off, it's only 4 hours. . .

Since it's a four hour flight, you can take pretty much anything you want to eat without fear it may go bad before eating it. You want poke, a hot lunch plate or a sandwich, go for it. If you have an insulated bag, great. If not, eat anything like fish within two hours. Have a safe trip!

Ba-le Vietnamese has good Bahn Mi sandwiches and summer rolls that would work well.

Located in Kona Coast Shopping Center, 74-5588 Palani Rd., open 11am-7pm Sunday.

There's next to nothing at the airport, such as it is. You can get packaged sandwiches inside security. They suck.

I'd get decent sandwiches in Kona or at your hotel, and plenty of fluids at the airport
