                  Sometimes it takes something as coarse as sandpaper to make things smooth - my definition of tough love.

                    You WERE????? God, I'm embarrassed when I look at my early posts. I'm surprised I didn't get slapped about for asking about dim sum in NYC :)

                    I will encourage OP to stick to things like Home Cooking for a while. It is sometimes safer/friendlier there. But not always :)

                      Oh shit yeah. Several times the first week and I managed to annoy a few CH's I came to realize were only trying to help a newbie. Ha! Oh yeah, I was a hot mess when I landed here. Hill didn't prepare me, he got a good chuckle out of it though.

                          Really? What for, c oliver? I've gotten a couple of what I thought were Righteous Defender posts deleted, but I think many of my fellow chowhounds are better-spoken than me, and can't imagine them getting deleted, especially you.
