Lunch in St. Helena/Yountville with Toddlers

BobMack Dec 30, 2013 08:41 PM

My family is heading out on an early hike around St. Helena and were looking for lunch in the area. My kids are 5 and 3 and well behaved but still kids who prefer to not be stuck in a super formal environment. They eat everything and anything

On the board I've seen some suggestions for Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen and Farmstead but not much else. After lunch we will be travelling towards Napa so anything in that direction will work. We will be changing clothes after our hike so that's not an issue.

Any recs for a quick New Years Eve dinner around Santa Rosa would be helpful too!

A easy lunch would be stopping at Dean & DeLuca in St.Helena.Pick up your foods and drinks of choice to go.Plenty to choose from. Easy peasy. Was just there less than a week ago. Always a go to when in the area.

Could say the same for the Oakville Grocery which has lots of good things to take away. And the there's always the wonderful roadside hamburger place (used to be Taylor's, now ?? Gott's) just south of St. Helena. Kid's would surely like it...certainly the fries and milk shakes, and the burgers are great for the grown-ups.

Farmstead has lots of outdoor space fir kids to run around, and sort of outdoor seating as well. Not sure if running about in that area is welcomed, nor if the weather in Jan will be conducive. We are praying for rain, but none seems to be coming. The Gotts suggestion is good.
