Marzipan pigs?

Where can I find marzipan pigs for New Year's? I thought about going to Buon Italia in Chelsea Market since I remember they have a fair amount of marzipan candy, but since the pigs are a German tradition as far as I know, I'm wondering if there might be a better place to look. Any suggestions?

  1. Economy Candy (LES) used to have them and I have seen them at Sahadi's in Brooklyn. I would call first before trekking to either one of these places.

    1. Yeah, I was going to say that Italian specialty shop also.

They're nice people. If you're in the area, stop by and tell them you love them (the marzipan) and ask the name of who makes it, and give _them_ a call.

Couldn't hurt, and you might learn a lot about marzipan, which also couldn't hurt, I don't think.

      1. Elk candy has a website where you an order them.
