Le Filet Review
My husband and I enjoyed excellent service upon arrival for our 6:30 reservation (not our choice, we would have liked later) and throughout the evening. There was one long time lapse between courses, but it was more of a problem with the kitchen not the fault of our waiter.
We did not find the noise level excessive even though the restaurant was mostly full.
We are from out of town and had many restaurants to choose from. What attracted us to Le Filet was the eclectic sounding menu and the small plates concept. Their small plates are perfect for sharing as there was always two of everything on the plate...easy to portion out.
We simply couldn't decide so went ahead and ordered six plates which normally would be excessive for our appetites.
Every dish was beautifully presented. We simply had no complaints about any of the dishes and enjoyed, what we thought, was well balanced paring of different ingredients in each dish.
Tuna Tartare,egg confit,nori tempura
Grilled octopus,Israeli couscous,Meyer lemon coulis
Cavatelli,foie gras,veal cheek
Mushroom tart,snails,bacon,arugula pesto
The wine list was comprehensive, but in our opinion a little over priced.
