Elements in Chapel Hill, NC
This restaurant's been open for over a year, but I just heard about this today from a Vietnamese friend who said the Vietnamese food there is outstanding. Not too surprising since the chef is Michael Chuong, a Vietnamese native and former chef at An in Cary.
Have any chowhounders been here yet?

I went with a couple of fellow local CHers when it first opened. I don't think any of us were overwhelmed by it, but it was fine. I think it is telling that I haven't been back even though fairly close to my house.
I have been 3 or 4 times over the last year, and have always had stellar food. Many times, I do a couple of the appetizers and some sushi (which he does very well) and have always enjoyed the offerings. I did have a soft shell crab there in the late spring that was done with an Asian "remoulade" that was quite possibly the best local rendition of soft shells I have had.
