they've been soaking all day and I just didn't know if the flavor profile would work. Looking to serve the segments as a tasty nosh.

  1. I'm pretty sure a combination of jalapenos, cacao and mandarin oranges would work.

I would add a smidge of peanut butter.

Only if you work for Reese's

          Joking, I was joking...

The entire endeavor was not my cup of tea...

            Striperhattan

            2 oz Castries peanut creme
1 oz Cake vodka infused with orange and chili

Stir, strain, straight up. Pickled bass head garnish with a Luxardo cherry in the eye socket.

Do you stir it in the Bass-o-matic?

                Of course...

OMG! I've always wanted a cocktail named after me. I'm so flattered, I'll whip one up tonight.

Gosh, I might have to see if I have any pickled striped bass heads left in the pantry...

      2. IMO, that would be a weird combination.

There's a "Absolut Cilantro" that would work very well with jalapenos.

        1. Why would you "infuse" Mandarin oranges with vodka?

When I saw this topic I wondered the same. I've 'drizzled' things like Cointreau over fruit with some sugar added but that's as far as I've gone.

I've infused orange peels in Tequila. I use it as a flavoring in cooking and baking.

            2. Go for it! I have made chile manzano mermelada de mandarinas, with varying success. It tastes great, but I screwed up something in the process, so it didn't gel well.
