Lunch prices to increase by $10 for both the 5- and 7-ers for the new year.

Don't the prices at Per Se also include taxes and tip? I was told that by a fellow here in Austin (Foreign and Domestic) who claims he used to work there. Thanks.

Tip is included for sure, though there's a space for you to give even more if you wish :)

Tax has always been added separately on our visits.

Can anyone clarify a few things about lunch vs. dinner for me?
      1. Is lunch available in the dining room or only in the Salon?
      2. Am I correct that the Salon is different from the bar area?
      3. Can you make reservations for the Salon (whether it's lunch or dinner)?
      4. Anything else I should know?

I've been sitting on a g.c. for far too long and want to take two friends who are both turning 50 this year. Thanks in advance for the assist!

Service is included in the prix-fixe $2̶9̶5̶ 310 and the Salon carte prices, but I believe tax will be assessed on top of that. If you do the prix-fixe lunch, it will be in the dining room.

I don't believe it's possible to book a table in the Salon.

I also don't recall seeing a proper bar when I walked through the Salon to the dining room. Though I suspect I was so nervous on the occasion, I wasn't really looking about properly until I sat down and had my first glass of champers.

          1. Is lunch available in the dining room or only in the Salon?
          >> Both

          2. Am I correct that the Salon is different from the bar area?
          >> Not sure what you mean, but the Salon Menu is served in the bar area

          3. Can you make reservations for the Salon (whether it's lunch or dinner)?
          >> Nope

          4. Anything else I should know?
          >> You should read up on eating at the bar, both the negative http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/929938#8552738 and the positive http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/606540

Hope that helps and have fun.
