After Clippers games, Mexican take out or food trucks?

  • 6

Going to the Clippers game on Saturday, on way back to Westin B (we are walking) to get some good fast food?

No chains please. After a few drinks some late night munchies would be tasty. In San Diego we usually hit a Robertos or some other good Mexican hole in the wall.

On the way there probably going to hit up, Spring St , Public School and/or 7 Grand. Looking for some good craft brew & food. Any other recs would be appreciated.

  1. Hi Janey,

Since you're walking and will be only in Staples arena and downtown, you're pretty limited. Oddly, downtown is one of the few places in LA not awash in Mexican food.

If you're willing to get in the car, take a short drive to Highland Park and get off at York Blvd. There are numerous small Mexican places there, all which are excellent. El Huarache Azteca is my favorite. If you're lucky, they'll be serving birria:

Danny's tacos after an la street dog is basically a post-staples tradition. Not the best versions of either but quintessential LA nonetheless and still pretty good.
