Sate Grill - opinions?

kobuta Dec 27, 2013 07:52 AM

Our sad little cafeteria this side of no man's land Charlestown will be replaced by Sate Grill as of January 20. I applaud the landlord for wanting to go fancy, but considering we share this space with The Ride and therefore share the caf with a bunch of elderly visitors, I envision much consternation once it opens.

I was never a fan of Momogoose, so I can't say I'm thrilled by this news. Anyone have experiences to share and shed light on whether I should bring my lunch for the rest of my working days here? Search didn't find any hits.

Doesn't look particularly special, but this may immediately become the best food available in Charlestown. Low bar, so I'm interested.

They have beta site to serve the few offices here who now have no food options in the building, with free delivery. They charge $8 for a banh mi. Serious? If this is anything close to the atrocious banh mi I had when they first started serving them, that thing isn't worth 8 cents. I'm not impressed so far.

Where is this? I am assuming you mean close to the Holiday Inn near East Somerville? That former Brazilian cafe?

It's going to go inside the Hood Business Park building, on Rutherford Ave.
