Place for 50th birthday party

mkleinbart64 Dec 25, 2013 06:25 AM

I am looking for a place for my 50th for about 10-15 people. I would like somewhere that has good food and has a fun atmosphere. Can be in Hollywood, Westside, Downtown or anywhere else in the vicinity. A private room would be great, but not a necessity. I love many different cuisines.

Any thoughts or suggestions.

Culina has indoor or outdoor private space, great food and will work with you on your event in a very professional manner.

Pizzeria Mozza has a nice small private room. As does Fogo De Chao in Beverly Hills.

Wow, Fogo de Chao could be great for a party of that size. You could socialize and break off to go get food at the "salad" bar -- much more extensive than that -- or even have guests bring back items for the group -- asparagus, sliced cool meats like smoked salmon, prosciutto, the excellent wheel of Regianno Parmegiana. When the meats start coming with the mashed potatoes and fried polenta, a group like that would help pace yourself so you could sample longer and more. I've always had great service there, even during DineLA lunches. And your costs, other than drinks, would be controlled.

Sotto (Beverly-Pico)? According to their website, they have an enclosed, heated terrace that can seat 10-20. Food portions are quite small, and you might hit the upper limit of your price range.

Love Sotto. I would check out the terrace first it may be a tad narrow. Ivy is always fun for a birthday too.

Church Key might be fun. Also, the back room at Mo Chica.

Price point? A place with a full bar, or would you do just wine and beer?

Full bar would be great. Would prefer around $50-75 pp for food.

Are you planning on treating your guests to dinner/drinks or does everyone pay for their own meal?

                    KTLA Dec 26, 2013 10:11 AM

A private room will run you over $100 per person for food and drinks. Hatfield's has a nice private room for 10-30 people.
