  1. It's a decorative holder for two upside down wine glasses while being placed on top of a wine bottle. You place the wine bottle top through the hole. Then take two wine glasses through the side openings. You got regifted a wine set packaging! At least they could have given you a wine as well !

You are my hero! I knew my sister gave terrible gifts but now I am sure! Thank you

        Ha ha ha.

Lol... The only reason I know about this is because I got one too! Unlike you, at least I got a wine bottle to go with it.

That is hilarious! Some people are so cheap, lol.

        3. kinda twee. twee and useless. if it were bigger and no hole in the middle you could carry it like a artist's palette to pass hors d'ouevres

          1. What exactly is the use case for this bizarre object, which Nevy has so kindly identified? I put a bottle of wine on the table, put this whatsit on top, insert glasses, then... look at it?

Maybe I do things strangely, but if I've got a bottle of wine and two glasses in front of me, my next step is to transfer the liquid from one vessel to the others. Not make a sculpture.

Lmao... I like your thinking. This do hickey has no purpose other than to 'artistically' present a gift of wine and 2 glasses to someone. Aka to be placed in the blue recycle bin after you get supposed wine glasses and wine. Unfortunately denial twist's sister had a 'moment' and mistaken the gift bag as the blue bin. ;)

Oh, actual legitimate garbage masquerading as gift? Cute. I think denialtwist's sister needs to receive a matching set of 6 empty wine bottles next year. They're reusable!

oh, but see the decorative paint job?

You're supposed to drop that over the top of a bottle of wine (<$10, for effect) and hang a couple of glasses from it (Libbey, please -- for effect) and put it out on top of your bar for all to admire.

                  Really.

                  But not in my house.

No. This will not be happening in my house, either. I will continue standing my glasses upon their conveniently flat bases. Like a normal person.

It probably doesn't work very well with those new stemless wine glasses ;)

            2. Pasta Measure?

              1. definitely a re-gift candidate (but only at a 'give-a-gift' white elephant gag event)

                1. I vote you regift it back to her next year, saying you don't want to her to be without such a useful item.

with a bottle of the most dire grocery-store plonk and a couple of dollar-store stems.
