Cocktail suggestions for an infused simple syrup?

I plan on making spiced candied orange peels this weekend, and the author of the recipe states the remaining simple syrup is great in cocktails. Any suggestions? (For reference, the orange peel recipe calls for cardamom, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves)

    I'm not an Old Fashioned fan, but that sounds perfect for a rye, bourbon, or dark rum OF.

    With that many flavors going on, I'd probably make a simple sour: whiskey, rum, cachaca, or tequila plus your syrup and some lime or lemon juice. Add a small egg white if you want, shaking before and after you add ice.

      I was definitely thinking similar -- Daiquiri with an aged rum like Appleton or Old Monk (2 oz rum, 1/2 oz syrup, 1/2 oz lime juice assuming the syrup is 1:1).

      I think it would make a tasty sour.

      Orange Spice Sour
      2 oz. gin (or) dark rum (or) whiskey
      .75 oz. Lemon juice
      .75 oz. Orange Spice syrup
      1 dash Angostura Orange bitters
      1 egg white

      3-5 drops regular Angostura bitters for garnish

      Dry shake, then shake on ice and double strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with three to five drops of Angostura bitters on foam.
