Le Bernardin Les Salons Holiday Menu

On an upcoming trip, I snoozed and was not able to book a reservation in the main dining room. However, they offered me a table in their private Les Salons which has a 9-course menu.

I've been to Le Bernardin a few times in the last couple of years and really enjoyed their normal dinner and/or lunch menus.

A little worried about this - is it the same kitchen preparing the food? Any recent experiences that you can share?

  1. Really? Those are the private dining rooms for special events and such. Sounds unusual they would put you there unless it was some kind of holiday special or one-off. The kitchen is the same, you'll have nothing to worry about.

I was there a couple of weeks ago, did a walk-in and ended up at the bar area by the entrance. Although the menu was a bit pared down, the quality was as good as always, and the prices much more modest, very good value, much better than the Nougatine-JG comparo. I could have ordered from the full dining room menu, but I was attracted by the $45 3-course prix-fixe which was excellent.

The "City Harvest" menu is available only at lunch time in the Lounge. It seems the menu changes every week.
