  1. Without any additional info to go on in terms of what you're looking for, I'd vote for the Tap Room at Keens.

    1. Number of people? What time?

      Cuisine? Is Koreatown OK?

Budget, per person, exclusive of tax, tip, wine/drinks?

      Near-ish Macy's/Herald Square/MSG:

        1. Macy's 6th floor Stella 34

and be sure to reward yourself with the gelato.

Love Vivoli Il Gelato, but after repeated attempts have really soured on Stella 34. Been now about 5 times, each time has been incrementally worse than the previous. Too bad, because it's a beautiful space. A real travesty. Vivoli Il, however, is a real treat.

I would do what foodwisperer suggested below, grab something good in adjacent K-town, then head up stairs in Macy's and finish the meal off with *several* scoops of gelato.

No kidding, ips. I was there about a month ago (probably a dozen times in total including a very large group around Oct) and the cauliflower & lemon pizza coupled with the grilled octopus salad made me very happy.

The pistachio gelato is really good.

My son often goes for a nibble while working and last time wound up sitting next to a gentleman who introduced himself as the designer of Stella 34.

As a family, we've never been disappointed by anything more than a (slight) wait.

                ______________

Jay Valgora? A very nice gentlemen. There are those who will bad-mouth him in the architecture world, but success often begets jealousy.

                Cheers, and happy holidays.

Thanks ips, you and yours as well.

          2. walk a couple of blocks to Ktown ( 32nd street) and pick a place that looks good.
