What's the 911 on the use of flasks? Does anyone use a flask anymore?

I used to but now I do not. I'd now rather jock a pint and be done with it once it's empty rather than have to carry the empty flask. If my companion(s) are female and have large-ish bags then I might be tempted to break out the flask but then I'd have to remember to collect it from them when we part or hunt them down at a later date. No, all set with flasking it.

I think they are popular as groomsmen gifts.

My husband requested one for Christmas last year, I bought it at Things Engraved. I am still waiting for him to tell me what he wants engraved on it a year later. It does seem sort of a timeless item.

I use a flask for my Anisette. I like to put it in my coffee. You can not store liquor in it very long but I never had that problem.

I use a flask when traveling to bring along a small sample of some of my favorite spirits when packing a full bottle is impractical

Yes 411, I don't see any flask emergency at the moment do you?

Not just this minute. But I could see where it could happen.
                ;)

but I stand corrected (can always count on a CH correction).

I keep one for the ski lift, stadium and duck blind.

Mr. Rat has a little battalion of flasks. Good for long subway rides, especially on the way home from work in the middle of the night.
