Best spot in Columbia MO

sgbslo Dec 19, 2013 04:47 PM

I'd like to give a gift certificate to a good spot in Columbia to some friends who live there. Are there any special places that you'd suggest? I was only in Columbia once for one night and I ate (and enjoyed) Booches but I'm looking for something lots more upscale. Thanks.

Murry's for casual but very good.
Sycamore for a bit more upscale but very good.
    Chris McD's. Also very good.
    Check out the menus. Cheers.

I know this is late, after Xmas, but maybe you'd like other ideas for the future:

44 Stone and Public House in south Columbia on Peachtree
Trey Bistro downtown on 9th Street beside the Blue Note
Wine Cellar and Bistro downtown on Cherry Street

We have not been since they moved back to Columbia, but Glenn's Cafe has returned to the Tiger Hotel downtown. Glenn's is Cajun/Creole-themed. Enjoy!
